Landscaping with Raised Beds

You may think it funny to use raised beds for landscaping but for those areas that either have bad soil or just plain bad looking and you can’t figure out what to do, raised landscape beds may be just the ticket. Whether you build them from scratch or purchase a kit and put them together you will have several advantages using this type of bed; lack of weeds and good soil.

By placing a weed barrier down before you build or install the raised bed will cut down on the weeding that has to be done and that’s always a great thing! Make sure you use a good soil for your project so you get optimum growth from your flowers. This eliminates the need for tilling up portions of your yard to just have ho hum growth. These beds are also really good looking like the 4 x 8 x 1 Raised Bed Garden Kit that is made from recycled plastic jugs. The main thing when planting anything is to consider what your plants will need; sun, good soil and water and make sure you are planting them somewhere they can thrive.
