Looking for Internet Providers in my Area

After making phone calls to several broadband companies, I realized that just because I see something on TV doesn’t mean that they are internet providers in my area. Rather than wasting a lot of time trying to figure out who services my neighborhood, I found a great website that provided links directly to the top providers. All I had to do was click on a link to check availability for companies like AT&T, Verizon and Qwest, and within moments I had a list of companies that provided service directly to my neighborhood. My next step was to determine what speed I would need to remain satisfied long-term with my broadband connection. The website also allowed me to view a side by side comparison chart of packages offered so that comparison shopping was greatly simplified.

Another thing that was important for me was to get a snapshot of the various companies through what was called a DSL provider review. I was able to look at the differences between regular AT&T DSL, AT&T Uverse broadband, Verizon DSL and Verizon FiOS. The Uverse and FiOs packages offered super speeds on new fiber optics delivery systems which offers greatly enhanced service. While these packages were more expensive, they certainly delivered more as well. When you combine television with internet, you end up getting intelligent technology that interacts together for a flexible, enhanced entertainment experience.
